Curbs

The Curbs API offers a platform for cities to manage curbside spaces by setting regulations on how these areas can be used, including activities such as parking, loading, and pick-up/drop-off services. It allows cities to define who can access these spaces, under what conditions, for what duration, and at what cost. The API's data can be linked to events and metrics, and made available to both businesses and the public. This information can be used for practical purposes like determining legal parking spots, optimizing routes, and evaluating how curbside spaces are utilized over time.

The Curbs API includes some of the following endpoints:

  • Curb Zone: a contiguous region of curb space on a single block face that is regulated in a particular way.

  • Curb Area: a larger area of interest, such as a neighborhood or corridor, that could be used to show proximity, approaches, conflicts, circling, or other activity.

  • Curb Space: a defined vehicle parking spot along the curb for use by one vehicle at a time.

  • Curb Policy: a Policy object is a rule that allows or prohibits a particular set of users from using a particular curb at a particular time or times.
