# Metrics

The Metrics API is a RESTful service designed to calculate historical metrics based on event data from specified curb locations. It provides standardized methods for measuring various metrics, such as dwell time, occupancy, and usage, among other aggregated statistics. By analyzing past event activities, the Metrics API helps cities and organizations assess and understand curbside utilization patterns over time, aiding in more informed decision-making and resource management.
